Is a Japanese art form that involves the skilled use of tiny needles inserted into specific acupuncture points on the face. This has the effect of stimulating points, clearing energy blockages and increasing blood flow. Oxygen and nutrients are delivered to the tissues, therefore helping to plump up the skin, smooth away wrinkles and dissolve lines of tension.
At the cellular level this helps the skin to remove toxic waste effectively and thus maintain efficient rejuvenation of the cells.
The procedure is pain-free and the disposable needles are extremely fine and need only be left in the face for approximately 30 minutes, whole procedure is very relaxing.
Stephen Langley MSc. N.D. Dip Hom, DBM, Dip Ac, OMD brought this particular Japanese Acupuncture tradition to the U.K. 10 years ago and we are very proud to offer his unique holistic anti-aging treatment that encourages the natural ability of the skin to heal itself.
A minimum of 3 treatments is generally required to see the benefits of increased oxygen and blood flow to the skin, however many will have between 5-10 treatments with quarterly maintenance.
Time: 45 minutes - Cost: €85
About Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic Acupuncture is not a quick fix – it is not going to give an overnight result. It’s important to make a commitment to it. However the benefits are deep and lasting. The skin is energised – the quality of the skin is improved – and this means the skin looks younger and fresher – Wrinkles are not the only thing that makes skin look old – it’s the quality of the skin that counts – so it can still look old even if wrinkles have gone. With Cosmetic Acupuncture the skin is fresher – i.e. looks younger! Another advantage is that by stimulating the production of new collagen the ageing process is slowed down – meaning that more invasive treatments (such as surgical procedures) can be delayed or even avoided.
Cosmetic Acupuncture is normally painless, except in certain sensitive areas. It is a non toxic treatment with long lasting results. The face becomes more radiant and wrinkles either become smaller/ shallower or disappear. The beneficial effect of Cosmetic Acupuncture is not just anecdotal; there is scientific evidence to support the use of it.
